Carnival Cruise 2008

My husband and I just went on our 1st cruise. We left out from Galveston, TX and went to Cozumel and Progresso Yucatan, Mexico. 5 whole days of relaxation and fun. Thought we'd share our experience!

Thanks a lot! Yeah I am going to try to get those motion sickness patches. someone was saying something about a pill (do they work I wonder?). I just sent off for my passport yesterday!!!! I cannot wait I am so nervous. lol Hey I'm stressing on how we are going to get pics of the 2 of us since we are the only ones going.... and hey what to bring to the beach I'm worried about leaving stuff on the beach while we are swimming??? What did ya'll do?

There's a pill but u have to take it periodically. I did the patch so I didnt have 2 worry about it. If u mark ur camera n someway 2 verify it's urs, there will b plenty of ppl on the ship that would take ur pic. wouldn't hand it over to any1 off the ship. We went to a more private beach that catered to us like crazy! I just took 1 beach bag that had my stuff in but stayed close to the beach. I would suggest a waterproof bag to keep with you if ur going to be really out n the water.

@jasterlink We are going to mark our camera just in case. Hey do you know if the cruise ship has hairstylist's for formal night maybe they do makeup??

@srngirl Ya, I am pretty sure they had a salon... i believe it was part of the spa. You could get your nails done and all kinds of things like that. Positive I saw people getting their hair done too.

Oh wow how fun. I love your video. You did a great job. My husband and I are going to go on this exact cruise same ship and everything!!! It is our first one also! We have a 7 month wait though lol We absolutely cant wait!! I'm open for any tips or suggestions that you might have.

So jealous! Suggest motion sickness patch - RX that ur md prescribes. put it on a couple hours b4 u board & it lasts for 3 days. Our trip = 5 days so 2 patches ea. I didn't expect to get sick, but didn't want to get stuck out there & b sick the whole trip! they will try to get u 2 buy a 'fountain card' -keeps u from having to buy all ur drinks (excluding alcohol). They don't tell u tea, water, juices, etc are there 4 u at no cost. Plenty more I could say, but out of space! take lots of pics!

i was looking into going to the 7 day caribbean package.... this includes food right? since u already had this amazing experience, how is it like when you stop at the different ports? are you guys there for a amount of time or how does it work?
