  • @andygin

Thanks. Unfirtunately her appearances down here are all too rare.

  • Superb material Mike, this loco above all others seems to have captured the admiration of all who attended the Gala...Bob

  • @robmasterman

Thanks Bob. You don't often see such a lovely locomotive.

  • Excellent video Mike, this lovely engine seems to have won many new admirers on her visit south of the border. It would be great to see her again on some other lines

  • Purely by chance, I happened to be walking along Northwood Lane that day as 828 was doing a little series. Couldn't see much from down there, but the sound was very fine. (Did catch the loco at the gala, though!) Thanks so much for posting this footage -- a lovely reminder of both a beautiful engine and (apart, as you said, from the difficulty of getting steam) a beautiful hot day.

BR Black was discussed at the Charter, but that would have been sacrilegious, not to mention unimaginative and boring. Yes, they take possession of the whole line.

  • @irwellsteam

It would be wonderful to see her doing the rounds of the English preservation circuit

  • @iantrack

Yes, it is a lovely engine
