amps are a measure of current not power.
but if its made of the same stuff (i.e. the potential difference is the same) then the power would be lower
but power is in watts

Can i ask what video format can the iPad 2 play? and can i edit the imported photos or videos folder or name on the iPad 2 on-the-fly?

@merovingio10101 The iPad will not natively read an HDD without jail breaking, even if it had enough power.

Detroit... U Rock !! but i have a question ... last week i was in new york at the time square and there was a photo shooting for a model, the photographer was connecting his DSLR camera to a laptop then to an ipad and once he capture a picture the picture appears automatically on the ipad with a full screen view (no import!!), do u have any idea how was that ??

@yezensafi2 The DSLRs are connected to a laptop which serves the data to an iPad wirelessly. There are several apps for this and it works with Canon or Nikon DSLRs. A popular one is OnOne Remote DSLR, but I have never used them.
