President Benigno S. Aquino III keynoted the opening ceremonies of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS) 2010 Continuing Medical Education Program and the 54th Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (PSO-NHS). In his speech, the President stressed that one of his priorities in governance is to improve health care service system in the country. To make this possible, he increased the budget allotment of the Department of Health (DOH) by 13.6 % to provide better health care services and benefits for the Filipinos. President Aquino also said that his administration will strengthen the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program to aid poor Filipinos in fighting the cancer of society -- poverty.
