The way I see it is this movie is completely overrated and goes nowhere. Rocky is way better.

Rocky is child's play compared to this movie. This is a cinematic masterpiece like no other, a masterpiece destined to end all boxing/sport movies. There ain't anything out there like it and most likely we'll never see anything like it. This movie is the definition of art cinema.

I love boxing... But this is really the worst movie I have ever seen. Unnecessary amount of profanity and sex scenes. I turned it off half-way through.

@southparkfan2717 you cant really compare the 2. rocky was an inspirational movie. this is a charecter study. rocky had boxing as the theme. raging bull had boxing as only a backdrop. its more about a guy who boxes than a boxer

@southparkfan2717 Comparing to apples to oranges. Raging Bull is about an insecure man with a "Madonna Whore" complex. Rocky is about an underdog, someone almost washed up, that persevered and got a chance of a life time.

rocky is one of my favorites but this is excellent none the less
