I was at both Chicago shows (flew in from Seattle to see them). I wasn't gonna miss opening night! First thing I noticed when Ultraviolet started was the new lit up microphone!!! The mic wasn't lit up during the European shows. Both shows were awesome.

Thanks for posting this. I was in the partially obstructed view in section 356, :(, but damn, this show was so friggin' cool! Saw Bono before the show at his entrance. What a great guy to stop and come out of the SUV and mingle with us! Woooo hoooo!

I was in the inner circle, near the middle of Bono and The Edge. I will agree that this was a great performance though, and I'm thrilled they kept this song on the American set lists for this tour in particular. It's one of my all-time favorite songs, and definitely one that I think deserves a little bit more praise than it normally does. But a lot of fans like it a lot anyway, so yeah! ;)

No special tickets needed. Just need a regular GA one. To get in though, you need to get in line early. The earlier, the better. I had to be at Soldier Field before sunrise in this case, but it might be easier for you at any other show (depending where it is, of course). I imagine the smaller markets would give you the best chance of getting the spot you want compared to, say, New York City.
In any case, good luck!
