Washington State gets $7 Billion a year from Federal Transportation. $4.3 Billion goes to Railways and Buses. Why are the roadways getting so few dollars? Most "working" people ride the roads, which are falling apart BTW!

  • Well planned train and bus lines can REDUCE the load on our already taxed highway system. (and reduce pollution, dependence on unstable oil, etc ) Bigger, wider roads always seem to end up full.

  • Dr? William B. Mount, Washington State's entire transportation budget is $7 Billion. This is split into $1.4 billion for operations and $5.6 billion for capital projects. From the operational expenses, 111.5 million is spent on public transportation and 29.9 million on rail. The largest expense goes to highways. On the capital expenditure side, $4.7 Billion are spent on highways and only $426 million on trains. Please get your facts right.

  • good job. How about filming the DOT taking the State trucks home every night to their houses?......the money for gas? WHO CARE$~! Film the trucks at a DOT parking lot/ work place and their licenses and then figure out how many are not in the lot THAT NIGHT!
