Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan - Stage 1

I thought I'd do a playthrough of a rather short retro game. This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan for the Game Boy. Here, you pick a Turtle and then a stage, and you're on your way to fighting bad guys. You can actually pick any stage out of the five to start out on, including the last one; if you do that, you can actually beat the game after playing just that stage.

This is being played on the SNES, via the Super Game Boy cartridge. You'll see me mess with the colors a bit, to make them a little more suitable to the game.

Anyway, I'm going to play through all five levels, in order. The first one takes place on the streets, but goes into the sewers as well (and back and forth). There are some hidden mini-games to play that you can find. But, I'm not that great at some of them. Oh well.

Eventually, you'll make it to the end of the level in the sewers, where you'll encounter the first boss...

Rocksteady - He's really not that hard, and has an easy pattern to follow. Of course, it's been YEARS since I've played this game, and I forgot the said pattern. LOL. Basically, he'll shoot three shots and charge at you. The Turtle you chose can hit the bullets if timed right. A few hits, and he'll be out.

  • Oh my goodness, talk about old school lol. The bonus game when you picked 000 and it said ''smaller'' I was like what the hell lol.

  • LOL, yes! I've never been able to figure that one out. I got lucky with it only once ever.

  • The music for this game was beautifully crafted; it really shows what the GB sound system was capable of.

  • @octaneblue The trick is that when Splinter says "smaller", he's actually looking for a larger number and vice versa. It's a little messed up, but that's how you play the game.

  • Shit got me through the 5th grade.. Along with Double Dragon on GB.

  • @BaronOfStuff

That's Michiru Yamane for ya! ^.^V

  • April has been kidnapped by Shredder! Are you a bad enough turtle to rescue April?

  • @ 2:16 So 900+ is smaller than 000?

  • @KHDarkSigma I think this is how it works. When it says smaller, its saying that your current number is smaller than the guessed number, not to make your guess smaller. When he did 800/900, it said bigger so it would make sense.

  • oops i mean yesteryear not yesterday sorry guys

  • i wish this game would be re-release on the 3ds virtual console but sadly konami doesnt have the rights to the turtle games anymore only stupid ass ubisoft has it if only ubisoft would share the liecnced rights to konami we would've had the rest of the great classic turtle games from yesterday espellay the best damn turtles game ever turtles in time whicxh i mean the original version of turtles not the crappy remake

  • smaller then 000, wtf? XD

  • Oh my goodness. I think this was my first game I got bought for the good old Game Boy. And what an epic choice it turned out to be...

Some of my brightest childhood memories are connected with this item. Those times were simply the best.
