Your very lucky to have come across one of these elusive little snakes, especially during the day. Ive spent a lot of time looking for this species in the Cameron Highlands, peninsular Malaysia, but have had no luck. Where is Borneo was this?

@klpgs694 where can i find one???????

Remember is not bungarus flaviceps (locality sumatra krait).
Borneo Blue Malayan Coral snake is Maticora Bivirgata, beautiful snake & very dangerous snakes. No Antivenom.
large size venom gland, 1/3 from whole body or more.

should have gotten a bit closer...

I think I just have a better idea.

Beautiful Snake. It, along with the red headed krait (bungarus flaviceps) are among the most beautiful and most dangerous snakes on the planet.

Yes, its quite stunning isn't it, a beautiful creature.
I had never heard of this snake before the encounter, and had to look it up to learn more about it. The red head / tail is remarkable when seen first-hand.......although we didn't dare get too close !
