  • @andyukmonkey I do find it a bit baffling that CodeMasters entrusted Dizzy to a different developer when Big Red Software had been doing such good work on their ZX Spectrum games. Was it just that CodeMasters wanted to rush out more Dizzy games sooner, and Big Red already had too much on their plate?

  • @BagOfMagicFood Yeah. Which looks really stupid when you're facing to the left but have to keep jumping, like when you're in the clouds in level one.

  • @feckingbillgates Lol, he turns to the side whenever he wants to jump in place!

  • I guess it's different because neither Big red software nor The Oliver twins made this one. The new team probably decided to do it their own way.

  • Always loved the Dizzy music. I used to play this game on rainy weekends when i couldnt go out to play. He was one of my childhood heroes :)

  • I never got this one... I think I was probably wise not to. Just doesn't look the same.

  • It was also ridiculously easy and way too short! A real let down!

  • The worst Dizzy game on the spectrum, and the first at full price (£12 instead of £2) too! The dreary landscapes looked like they were coloured in with felt-tip pen. Banal dialogue. Password activated sections make the game not half as epic as it should be. But worse, Dizzy moves differently, with three spins like they wanted to turn him into Sonic, and controllable falling rather than tumbling. He just isn't the same anymore. Worst of all, they forgot to animate a forward facing jump!
