  • For going more then 50 miles. Which bike would you go with personally? I have heard mixed reviews.

  • The SV has a longer reach to the clip-ons, and they are wider spaced. The GSX-R has a perfect reach to the clip-ons for me but the seat puts my ass higher than the SV causing long distance fatigue. The power delivery and sound is more fun on the SV, the GSX-R will power wheelie in 3rd gear and cruise highway more relaxed than the SV. Windscreen, great on SV and just adequate on the GSX-R. Suspension on the GSX-R makes the SV feel harsh. The SV feels narrower between legs and i like that.

  • ok sorry, so my answer IS.... drumroll.

    1. GSX-R with taller/better windscreen and a lower rear ride height (changes suspension/chassis geometry though?)

    2. An SV with taller gears (aka sprocket change). I forgot to mention the SV is geared pretty short stock, especially the S model that i have. Limits you to cruise at around 80mph otherwise engine is too high rpm for long distance. the gsx-r can cruise highspeed and engine feels/sounds relaxed.

  • hey zone, i meant to hit reply but i hit remove by accident my bad! haha.. thanks for the comment, and yeah i agree about the vt-twin power delivery

  • Your friends bike??

  • my brothers

How high are your RPM on the SV at 80? I've driven for a few hrs on my ninja 250 at 75-80 on the highway which puts me at near 10k rpm from 13k redline

  • Well, if you had to follow a car, that is the car to follow. Beautiful road too!

  • SWEET MINIS HAHA!!!
