MS: At a loss for words

One of the common issues with MS is word finding. It is frustrating and embarrasing. It interfers with quality of life and can even hold you back in areas of your life. Yet, many people are quick to say, "Oh, I do that also." What you don't understand is that anyone can have any symptom of MS at one time or another. However, we are plagued by them, usually daily, much more frequently. Added stress, insomnia, heat, or sickness can make symptoms worse. MS is a debilitating and progressive disease. Word finding issues are not like "brain farts, brain freezes, blond moments," or other things everyone has at one moment or another.

My older brother is in the very last phase of MS... he was diagnosed 12 years ago with Primary Progressive MS, and wasn't given long to live (at that time) Due to fabulous gains in meds, and prayers going up constantly, he has had 12 "extra" years with us! Thank you for posting this. It helps others to understand the torment that MS brings on it's victims and those who love them.
