In the 1980's we played 4 square the best way - you always had to bounce the ball in your OWN square first. This stopped douche bags who just tried to smash every ball down all the time.

4 square = if it bounces 2 times in your square you are out and everyone moves up a square. Once you are the king you make up the rules, there are four rules: old school (the regular way), body taps (hit the ball with any thing besides your hands), black magic (over hand only), under hand black magic (under hand only).
