It does nothnig in terms of transparency, the issue with transparency is the bidding / selection process, that has nothing to do with open source, the companies that provide the service are still private companies (i.e. - acquia).
Furthermore there is no evidence open source is more secure than closed source nor is it nessecarily cheaper, you are teh queen of misinformation,.

Wow, so much white light in this video. You should change the background to black or dark gray so you are framed better in the light.

seraphim: So then bright one. What is the answer?
If impeachment is not sending a message then please tell us your plan. We need one today not yesterday.

I don't understand how open source server software would lead to open data. The open source truecrypt encryption program is probably the best tool to lock data up. Does Drupal have some standards compliant API for grabbing site content?

Only if they mount cctv in every room so we see how our tax dollars are being spent. And then let them live like we will soon be doing.
Same with health care, any elected official and goverment employee gets same policy we are forced to live with.

and then what? have another corporate lackey take the throne? It will take more then just the impeachement of a President.
Too many conservatives subscribers, I agree that open source is a good STEP towards transparency. We are FAR from that in Canada.
If the gov't has done something positive, then applaud. If they screwed-up then hold them accountable. You don't consistently HATE on them because they are conservative or liberal (McCain or Obama). It is these type of bias, subjective, superficial and partisan viewpoints that screws-up democracy.
