@david1965af I feel the same way when I hear a white guy singing the blues, e.g. SRV.
-
they are great singers there is no doubt but, it gets a bit tedious...
-
I like......
-
I guess Barry Manilow did not "write the song"
-
billy davis jr singing that piece of "wreck of the edmund fitzgerald" is funny; this is classic 70's tv; they are both a class act, thnx for post
-
OMG, do the presenter have to sing every song?... glad its not done anymore
-
This entire presentation is class act through and through. And, I can't help but wonder if someone penned the term "drop dead gorgeous" after watching this. I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
-
Afternoon Delight was the rightful winner.
-
Marilyn was so beautiful...

I loved this so much! fantastic way to introduce the songs.
There's no doubt that I saw this back in 1976 because I loved awards shows "then". As Mrgone78 said, "now THIS is how you present a grammy award". It helps when the performers can sing like Billy and Marilyn! God Bless them! I haven't watched the grammy's in YEARS because it's just trash now. How sad. Parents, I'd like to encourage you to let your kids listen to beautiful music, like what Billy and Marilyn sing, that has meaning and depth. So, when they're older, they'll appreciate it.

Today? They'd STRUGGLE to find 2 people who could sing with enough range and understanding of music theory to sing the nominees! Then AGAIN - Todays nominated songs would be such SHIT that it Wouldn't MATTER!
