The famous Beast from my Hammond C3 and Leslie 147: the classic 'Jon Lord-sound' of Deep Purple.
I used a Boutique-made effect unit with spring reverb, gain boost and equalizer to make it possible.
Excuse my camera for the poor sound.

P.S.: I'm a drummer!

  • It's not easy to obtain full distortion yet retaining a rich deep sound without overdriving the final stage of Leslie

    Well done.

  • Thanks so much!!

You're right! I've rebuilt the entire Fisher Spacexpander's circuit for reverb and I added a further gain stage with a 12ax7 that recreates the growl of a full power 147..so only turning a knob I can sound with a full distorted sound even with low volume..very useful!

  • @azjw68 Your comment sounds like a major failure of musical knowledge. Haven't heard any music recorded in the last 45 years? Too bad for you. That sounds just like the record. Pretty hard to beat. Solid playing, too.

  • Sounds great! I'm impressed that you've built a Spacexpander as well; sounds great when you dial it in.

  • Dream sound ! Like It very much !

  • very good....my friend.....5 stars

  • @VideoMask93 still thanks for the response

  • @IMaiden89 I know this query is a year old, but nobody answered, so I will. Back when Organs were pipe organs, different keyboards triggered different sets of pipes. It allows for a much more multidimensional sound through the differences in tone and pitch between keyboards.

  • Jeuj my dad has got one!

  • @azjw68 prick

  • What did you use to gradually increase the amount of a distortion from a clean hammond sound in the beginning, and later too?

  • Sounds GREAT!

  • perfect sound, if i am making an album in the future with an organ player i would want to have that setup!
