It's funny, when we recorded shows or movies back in the day, we used to fast forward through all the commercials. Now here we are in 2012, watching the commercials, and skipping through the movie! :)

Great memories of advertisements during my teenage years. The older commercials were so much better. 

For those interested, "Hawaiian Heat" was on Friday nights 9:00-10:00 EST from 9/14 through 12/21 of 1984. "Matt Houston" was more successful, running from 9/26/82 until 7/19/1985, mainly on Friday nights (though it started on Sunday nights).

I hope it's not the aloe and lanolin lotion commercial with the silhouetted woman being zoomed in that commercial frightened me when i was a kid and it still does to this day.

I believe that was Marla Pennington from TV's Small Wonder in the Quaker Oatmeal spot.
