In this experiment we are going to discover why a plastic glass full of water it doesn't burn if you put it in contact with a flame. Water is going to absorve the heat raising its temperature and the plastic it isn't going to burn.

Rafael García Molina (Physics, University of Murcia) suggest us this experiment in the project "scientists in the kitchen" created for Researcher's Night 09.
