"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" A review of the original Mario Bros. by Nintendo on Atari 2600, even before Super Mario Brothers on the NES! This is Mario's first game as MARIO (even though he was in Donkey Kong first), the first appearance of Luigi and an all around great classic video game! Mario Brothers first appeared in the arcade in the early 1980's as a coin-op game and then found his way onto the Atari 2600.

Now Mario is a platformer franchise money making hero. He's been in dozens of games like Mario Kart, Mario and Sonic, Mario Party, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Adventure, Mario Superstar Baseball, Mario Golf, Mario Strikers, Mario Power Tennis and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Mario is like Pac Man with a moustache.

You can find this game (with better graphics) on the NES / Wii Virtual Console.

this game was the multi player mode in smb3 and it eventualy became a bonus game on some gba mario games
