If you keep working on this it could definitely get on OC ReMix... I've been TRYING to add on to my Sonic 2 Green Hills remix (Game Gear S2, that be), but I really can't get any further than what I have.

Also hearing this I think that this tune may be capable of being rocked out, which I couldn't even tell previous to hearing your remix. again 5 stars for you! (I know I said 100 rings on the other one lol)

I know what you mean, making progress with music is damn hard. I had no idea how to continue this Bridge remix like dozens of times. It takes time to think of ideas that you can't rush, gotta wait till they come. My problem was that I wanted to work on it, but had no idea what to do next with it. So no point in trying to force to make progress, work on other things, listen to other musics and eventually you'll get ideas for it.

I listened to your Green Hills remix on OCR btw. It's not bad, but imo it sounds more of a rearrangement than a remix.

Tho I'm still a newbie with music, I think you should add your own twists to the original source. Like an intro, ending, solos, breakdown and buildup, change the tune a little here and there to make it varied.

I know, a whole lot easier said than done. =/ But don't know how else could I help. Also maybe you could try to make the Sonic CD part a bit more powerful for variation?

My brother says he thinks Tails' theme from Sonic Adventure used the Bridge Zone tune as sort of a base. What do you think?

I'm not much of a musician to tell but I don't really think Tails' theme has anything to do with the Bridge Zone. Maybe there are very short parts, a few notes or chords that are in both tunes, but I don't think Believe in Myself was based on Bridge Zone.

Tho I could be wrong. They say Dream of Absolution is based on the Green Hill tune or something, but I swear I never hear any similarity at all.

I do know what you mean about let an idea come naturally, as they are usually better ones, because I used to do mash-ups, but that's another story. Anyhow I know you said you're a newbie to music creation, but do you know of any programs where I can import my own samples and pitch them to a midi track? Something like that would be very useful!

Oh, really? Awesome! Well, I was looking for some record scratch samples all over the internet, like something I could use in a breakdown or a similar twist, but making the main melody a bit more powerful...now there's a good idea! I was also looking to put the "GO!" sound heard in the original music to Launch Base in Sonic 3 in there as well, or some variation of it at least.

Now that you mention it, I have found myself singing small parts of Silver's theme while listening to Green Hill Zone before. Though I doubt any similarity was intended.
