  • isnt it true that it wont hurt to just use transmission fluid

  • @axxNosferatu also i might add, the method shown is more of a "flush" what im speaking of and what most dealerships/repair shops offer is more of an "exchange" because "flushing" often times kills pumps by cleaning them out so well that the clearances that were once accounted for by buildup are now too large for the fluid to fill the necessary clearances to operate properly

  • @dazubaman when im at work ill usually go through about a quart or two with the machine, id imagine the same amount would do with the your vehicle, just take your time, if the fluid isnt looking completely clear, dont worry thats normal, you just want to see a noticeable difference in the fluid you started with and end with in the reservoir

  • @axxNosferatu i did this but the fluid remained filthy, how much steering fluid until it becomes clear do you have to put in?

  • I get dumb on this kind of instruction

  • I used to just take the bottom hose off and drain it out. Each time 600ml would come out. I would then drive for the week and then drain again and refill. Whalla, clean power steering fluid

  • retarded. never do this. best option is to remove the cap and get a turkey baster suck out as much fluid as you can, then fill back up with fresh fluid on (car off) , turn car on and move steering wheel lock to lock (as far as it will turn) both ways a few times each way then turn the car off. repeat until fluid drawn into turkey baster close to clean color

  • thats just doing half the job theres a hole box of fluid that needs to be flushed

  • @kragmutt you know when you got air in the line it will be loud when you turn the whell just take cap off the fluid level and keep turning wheel till there is no more sounds then put cap back on then bam no more air in lines

  • is it possible to put an airlock in the steeing system? How do you make sure there is no air?
