This was in Pembrokeshire and my first sight of combining this year. Nice steady job, with one trailer (Fendt 818 on front) already full. Looking like rain but nothing much happened, in the event. Odd shower or drizzle that didn't even wet the ground. Seen on the way to Cardigan Show (see other video).

You forget that not long since, augers were always out! Had to be careful not to hit the trees, first time around! Take your point, though, you might easily forget and assume it's in and drive off down the road - oops!

@balmesh.i had'nt forgot the old days, father had a new Massey 187 combine in 1970 the unloading auger had to be locked in place as did the John Deere 945 that replaced it,the Massey 825 that came next and our current John Deere 1075 where hydraulic and I've got in the habbit of folding in the auger as soon as the tank is empty.Roly

Thanks for replying. You're obviously a careful person - and it usually pays off! I try, though, not to cause any offence to folk who allow me to video their work. There may well be a reason - auger needs massive effort to fold it? . . . Alan

Nice Alan looks like that machine is not too new
all so the grain straw looks a bit short at least on this end.
I know the weather will effect that out come.

Yes, we like to grow short-strawed varieties in this country because it's easier to harvest in a wet year. . . . Alan
