The year of the monkey tree. We had a little fern monkey tree that year so we could go away skiing and not have to leave a tree up. Look at the suits. Dad was such a director.

  • I think this was filmed right around the time that Andy Williams invented the turtleneck and sports jacket combination.

  • @supergolfdude YES!! to funny. i remember the Andy Williams Christmas specials too. He wore them & I'm sure dad wore them because they were in style. He was smashing!

  • Andy Williams may not have been the first guy to wear a turtleneck sweater with a suit or sport coat - check out George Harrison in " A Hard Day's Night ".

  • Great post Murph ! Interesting music at the beginning too... very 60's ! Those 8mm films had such a magical quality didn't they :0)

  • my guess from the cloths....and the short hair with side burns about 1967/68

  • theres something so wonderful about those old, scratchy, 8mm films, bad editing and color and all, that bring back so many memories. thanks.
