@mollymu1 Epson workforce 6xx, artisan 50, or the R280 are all good Epson printers that use the t127 cartridges which are easy to refill and hold 2-3 times more ink than an HP cartridge. The main advantage you will have with the Epson printer is that the print heads usually lasts the life of the printer as opposed to HP's cartridges which include a disposable print head with each cartridge, not a good thing if you are planing on refilling the same cartridge over and over..

@TheChickenrun3 Brother have a very small market share and are not really taken seriously by any manufacturer as competition as such. But the point I was making was regarding ink quality made by 3rd parties which is inferior and produced inferior results. If you have a cheap printer that uses the print head in cartridge then you negate the damage problem but not the loss of quality which is apparent when printing photographs.
