  • @DrHolly - or should I say, Dr Holier-than-thou - these students are mostly beginners, and most are in it for the academic credit. I do my best to impart my own love and respect of the culture - if 5% of them go on to then study with African teachers, then I consider it a success.

    As for your assessment of my level of skill, do you honestly expect a beginner class to showcase the teacher's talents? Let's see you put together an ensemble performance with beginners in 24 hours of class time.

  • USUALLY If you need a job you go look for one not seek someone who needs it.

  • Well DrHoly, She appears to be teaching the more simple Techniques to her students who may just perhaps just be learning how to play the drums. Duh.
