  • hello again from toronto canada. yesterday was the 13th of December and i picked up my roadster classic. but thee is too much snow on the roads today to ride.

I am totally loving it......even just looking at it

  • @craigmazzali

How frustrating that must be for you! I hope you get a break in the weather soon so you can get out and about on it.

  • @sesquipedalianism

do you ever ride in snow or rain at all?

  • @craigmazzali Well living on the south coast of England. we don't often get much snow (probably less than a day a year on average) and I tend to keep off the bike when we do. Rain is another story! It often rains and I will ride in the rain without a second thought. Having internal hub brakes on the Pashley helps with braking in the wet, by the way. Been out on it yet?

  • I just sold my fixed gear bike and bought a 400 dollar certificate for myself at a great shop here in Toronto that sells tons of great bikes from all over the woyld.

A few questions I thought you might not mind answering:

do you think you are able to get the light on the classic?

Are both of these bikes yours?

What are your favorite things about the bikecycles.

    Great video.

    Thank you.

  • @craigmazzali Hi Craig

In order to use dynamo lights on the classic you would need a front wheel with a hub dynamo to replace the existing wheel. Then you could fit most hub dynamo lights front and back or just front. The dynamo light on the Sovereign is a Busch and Muller lumotec. Or you could just buy a hub and fit it yourself if you're brave!

    Yes both bikes are mine

I love the relaxed comfortable riding style and the low maintenance of enclosed brakes, chain and gears

    Thanks and good luck!

  • These are great bikes.

  • Wow! Got the new Sovereign a week ago. I've fitted it with the 24T rear sprocket (see my post below) which makes the gearing really good for hills and my skinny legs. Used your idea of the protector for the stand paintwork. My model has a different gear shifter, smaller and made of alloy, and the handlebar gooseneck is not black (wish it was) and has different style of clamp. It was good to watch your video again.

  • Thanks for the video, very helpful as I will be buying a Sovereign soon. For bennythe wayfarer who asked some time ago, the standard gearing on the Sovereign is 42/20.

This gives the following (1st - 5th) gears 36.9", 44.3",59.1",78.8"94.6". IMO this is way too high; currently I am trying to find out if a 24t rear sprocket can be fitted.

  • Was very helpful, but the presentation was dryer than a Nun's cunt...

  • @sesquipedalianism

I will post something real soon.

  • @sesquipedalianism

yes, I have been riding now.......man.....what a dream. the roads are dry.........salty but i always wipe down at the end of the night.......
