I do alot of Ubuntu LInux installs for people. One of the things that trips up new users is the placement of the taskbars. Here is a video showing how easy it is to switch them around, to make newbies more comfortable.
1. Right click to "Delete this panel" (lower taskbar)
2. Right click the top bar, select properties.
3. Choose orientation, then Bottom.
4. Right click on the now lower bar, add to panel, Window List, click "add to panel"
DONE.
You can now use your Ubuntu Linux just as if you were using Windows.

  • The drop down panel can be moved to the bottom of the screen by right clicking on it and changing its Properties settings.

  • I have no task bar or any idea how 2 go into options. any ideas?
