  • what does he mean by " 4, 5 or 6 train" ???????? I´m not an english native speaker and i haven´t find any good tutorials in spanish

  • The 4, 5 and 6 trains are specific train lines. Some are train lines are alphabetical such as the A Train, B Train, C Train and some are numerical like the 4 Train, 5 Train or 6 Train. Hope this helps. Also a note to all that they no longer are selling the ONE DAY FUN PASS. The MTA took away the best deal for tourists who are here for a weekend or so. So unfortunately my example here no longer is works for buying a metro card. I'm hoping to reshoot this and give folks a more updated example.

  • Every subway station will have a few signs above the platform for whether it is an express or local train. If you are ever unsure don't hesitate to ask someone. New Yorkers are very cool that way. Good luck and glad this was helpful.

  • Thanks for making this video, Luke. Your tips helped me get around the city during my recent visit. And you're right, it may look confusing at first, but it actually is pretty easy to navigate the subway system. I look forward to visiting your great city again.

  • Thank you, very helpful for beginners!! ;)

looking forward to do it like a real New Yorker!!

  • this is really helpful, thanks!

  • BOY I MISS THE DAILY PASSES!!!!.....

  • Never divide the map into colors! I hate when tourists do that. Also check for service advisories. I cannot stress that enough.

  • Just so any new comers know they don't offer the unlimited day passes anymore :/
