Jeez, Tommy Johnson must have had superhuman guts to handle Jamaican Ginger on top of all the Canned Heat. What a sad story; the guy spent his last couple of decades as a shell of his former self, ravaged and ruined by the poisons he had used for years to intoxicate himself. Makes regular alcohol look like Kool Aid.

@busessuck1 - more info on "jake" .. it's actually a pretty sad situation .. it was jamaican ginger extract but then they toyed with the recipe to try to circumvent prohibition and inadvertantly mamed a lot of people ... somebody did 2 years time, typical american justice eh? google "The Bottle Gang: Jake Leg"

"Jake" was a 80% proof substance that bypassed prohibition laws, it was also undrinkable and after a while would permenantly cripple your legs and hands
