yeah, CN probably put ex IC P5s that were laying around on them. the original M horns on GTW units had to be tuned every so often, which you dont have to do with P, K, and S horns.

Note the difference in the horn, this one being a Nathan Third Generation P-5 as opposed to the former M3. Also, they moved the horn away from the cab, towards the middle of the locomotive which is common practice today. The Third Generation P-5 has a more serious and ominous tone, as opposed to the older Nathan/AirChime M Series. This may be part of the reason for the switch. That, and lower maintanence of course.
