@SonicDKK His name is Feist. He was an early enemy of Sonic's, but was banished to the Zone of Silence, after Sonic defeated him. During the A.D.A.M. Finale (SPOLIERS) when all the chaos emeralds were pushed into the zone of silence, and the void and the zone of silence were fused to form the special zone, Feist gained every emerald in the universe, which is thousands upon thousands, and gained near omnipotence. He used these powers to fuse all emeralds into 7 emeralds, which we hand now. :).
