The College of Natural and Applied Sciences consists of nine departments and one program on the Springfield and Mountain Grove campuses and is home to a number of outreach and research centers.
For the 2,300 majors and 160 full-time faculty in the college, teaching and research are integrally linked in many ways, including promoting student success, modeling life-long learning, and providing a public service with the publication of research results.
Last year, faculty in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences brought in more than $4 million in external funding. In addition, college faculty and departments also hosted nearly 5,000 high school students, who participated in various events and competitions on the Missouri State campus.
Whether its a vineyard, a laboratory, or an observatory, the world is the College of Natural and Applied Sciences classroom.
