@VetteAholicZ06 never seen 325.... but have seen and heard of 305rwhp for the LT4. The LT4 actually had around 350hp at the crank and about 350ftlb torque. It was a sleeping monster. The advertised it as 330 in the 96 vette and the 97 SS camaros because GM did not want to "step on the toes" of the new 350hp LS1 in the 97 vette. An LT4 is an awesome engine

@VettemanLT5 Got ya, thanks. I've heard GM underrated the LT-4' s HP for insurance purposes....325 to the wheel is freaking awesome. No wonder they run alongside LS1' s. Stock for stock.

@VetteAholicZ06 Cobras didn't have that muchpower back then.....they were rated a 305,never 385...modified maybe,but not stock.And when the C4 was still around,there were no Mach 1's....unless you mention the earlier models.Now of course the newer Stang will get a C4,unless it's a very built ZR1....one of which own....and the LT-4's put out quite a bit more than what the factory rated it at....some pull well over 325 to the wheel bone stock....not too bad,especially since it's all motor.

I'm all for the C4 but I know if it's a stock LT-4, it's got 330HP, vs an early Cobra with 385 Hp?? (someone correct me if I'm wrong) I think this was a driver' s race, apparently the Cobra' s driver didn't drive it to it's full potential. An LT-1 C4 is about 2 seconds behind a Mach 1 Stang, I know because I got beat by one at the track...then again it did have slicks and I didn't lol.

@JoeVetteman That's not exactly true. The C5 verts are lighter than the coupes. Check it out. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it either. don't know if the same is true on the C4s.
