Fantastic stuff! This video has really opened my eyes to what is possible with QR Codes. Thank you for posting. What QR reader program do you use on the computer workstation?

Wow, thats neat. I didn't know we had this.

Our cell phone policy does not allow students to use cell phone during the school day, unless for specific educational purposes. The best way to use QR codes if you have a "no cell phone" policy is to have a QR Code "station" where students can take items to be scanned. We did this in the library and students scanned the books to listen to the podcasts. I hope this helps.

Are students in your school allowed to use their cell phones anytime they like? How do you monitor phone usage so that students aren't simply texting in class or not using them for academics? I teach in a middle school and would love to try this out...I just don't know how to incorporate it with the cell phone restrictions our school currently has in place.

This is GREAT. May I have your permission to use it in a library conference presentation I'm doing on Oct. 6 in Lincoln, NE, and at a faculty in-service on Oct. 11? I am a professor at the University of Nebraska Kearney.

This is great! I love to see when schools go high-tech. Schools will have to make some minor edits to their cell phone rules around here for that to ever take off, but it's something I've been saying for a while needs to come into play. High Five to you guys and your school for taking such an awesome leap into making education more approachable!
