I didn't use enough chalk (hardly ) but with 32 kg I don't have an issue. Here you can see that I lost it. I had 6 more but didn't want to chance it. I predict 40/40 soon.

  • Just you looking at snatches that closely leads me to believe that you are knowledgable. Anyways thanks for the compliment. I'll post a newer video soon with better result with 40 kg. I promise.

  • They did. The technique is actually not whereit is now. I make a mistake there. Not anymore and I'm getting back into it. I'll post a video of 40 kg in about 3 weeks or so.

    Thanks. Who are you?

  • Thanks Chibluth. When I began I could not snatch a 32 kg bell one time. I was 78 kg then. Funny I'm 76 kg now but throughout the last 5 years I went down to 70 kg and came back up only recently.

I've been competing in kettlebells since 2005 and dabbled since 2002. Marty

  • Thats got to be over half your body weight right? I can see 40/40 with no doubt

  • @metcalfwill

  • novice lifter still trying to learn the basics. i notice that your style closely resembles the russians - you do some subtle things that I haven't seen w/ any Am lifters on youtube. in any even, thanks for posting this vid!!!!

  • your technique is on point! who trained you? WKC?

  • That is amazing strength , to snatch a 40 kg just once at your weight is something most people would never dare dream of. !!

I am 72kg and struggle snatching a 32 kg a few reps, I am 53 and been at this for nearly a year.

You are an inspiration to me, and I am sure anyone else who watches this .

How long have you been training with kettlebells ??

  • Chris. It's a bell with cake in it. I ate some afterwards. It helpS to have someone else counting. Makes it seem more serious. People instinctively respect it more.

  • Unreal set pal... What I want to know is where you are lifting that thing... It looks like Hotel Lobby... I think it is a riot that people are walking all around you and they have no idea how heavy that bell is... That is Why when Andy Fitting trains at his gym inside the Holiday Inn fiitness room... He let the bell slam into the floor, so people know.... it is not the 22 LBer!!! Almost got him Kicked out... But he charmed his way back in...

  • Awesome Marty -Very impressive!
