This is my all-time favourite song in any language. I don't need to understand the lyrics. The performance of the great Liam and the accompanying musicians says it all. BREATH-TAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

When I was young, my father used to play a record of the clancys. I remembered a song that was not in english, but nothing was lost in translation. This was the song I have thought about for years. 'By the second verse, I was unable to see my computer screen.

Liam, I will love you forever. This is such a wonderful song. You are missed.

@kaneda83 I was just commenting on how he talked about Irish Gaelic, immediately after which he said "Scotland forever," which I jokingly "corrected" to "Ireland forever." I don't really see anyone "spilling a fucking drink over it."

This is such a beautiful piece. Such a shame Liam is no longer with us.
Thankfully, Liam's nephew, Finbarr, has continued breathing life into the same songs as his uncle, in The High Kings.
Bless them, and everyone else who has ever poured so much heart and soul into such beautiful music.

Music at it's purest form sung from a perfect voice form a master singer in the true tongue of Ireland.
Thank you Liam for all you gave us over the years. God bless and may you for ever rest in peace.
