Parks and Ultra Sabers: My comparison

This is just my 2 cents on two of the most popular saber prop names out there. As stated I have a second Parks on the way which should arrive soon. I'll compare the two, each with a fresh set of batteries then.

i know ultrasaber project the light from the bottom of led

therefore the end of blade become not so bright as bottom part of blade

however i can only conclude those from videos on youtube.

so is the end blade of a altrasaber really weak brightness even lower than MR's? and can you compare the brightness of ultrasaber and parks saber?

btw i am a Asian so if my sentenses is difficult to understand

@iamavetstudent The saber in the vid is an ultrasaber, and it looks pretty solid throughout. Yes the base is a little brighter, but it honestly makes it look cooler. In this vid, the ultra wins in terms of brightness, but the parks is purple, so that's not really a fair fight. hope this helped.

@iamavetstudent Yeah I've had a bunch of MR sabers, my friends and I beat each other up with em all the time. Parks is definitely brighter but not as much as some videos may lead you to believe. Aesthetically speaking, parks beats MR/Hasbro in every way period. I'm still waiting on my blue and red blades, so I only have my purple to speak for, and if you don't know much about electronics, purple is a very tricky color to get at a reasonable brightness. I'll update soon I hope.

So, sound isn't a huge deal for me (if I want it, I'll get a newer Ultrasaber at some point) but which of the two would you really recommend?

I had looked a Park Sabers for years but their customer service was pretty poor, so I found Ultra and bought a Phantasm V2 for twirling and spinning and dueling. Point is, I love the sabers. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of even brightness up the blade. Thanks for the review, too.

@ddegithink Well between the two, it depends on what you want. Parks all the way if you're looking for a screen accurate replica, or if you just want a beautiful prop. If you plan on beating the crap out of it, then it's probably not worth forking out the extra cash, but I haven't put the parks to the test and probably won't. I will note that on my purple blade, you can faintly see the individual LEDs. It isn't very noticeable, but It may bother you more than me.

While I agree Parks makes good stunt sabers and the hilts are very nice, at least from my personal experience with the product, that hardly seems to matter to most everyone I spar with as they mostly look at sound and motion.

Actually, I don't know if this is blasphemy or not, but my Darth Maul Force FX's have lasted longer than my Parks, which the wires have just recently snapped apart somehow.

Kind of weird.

Ultrasabers, however, gives me everything I really ever wanted. Durability and sound.

@Jehtte Right on. I think I'll be getting the QV from Parks, mainly for its brightness and I think it'll look great with a costume. Seeing the LEDs won't bother me as long as it's an even glow I'll be more than happy. Thanks for your time!
