I loved every moment I had with my husband for 37 wonderful years, and I thank God for that. I just wished it could have been for much more Rog, but I guess it wasn't the plan. Thank you Gwen for your kindness. Yes, Betty is improving but still very weak. She had a "sudden death" heart attack 9yrs. & 6 mos. ago today and only by the Grace of God do I still have her. She had a quadruple by-pass and one stent and there is nothing else they can do for her. She has had several smaller attacks and God has always pulled her through each one.Praise his Holy Name!!! Yes it was an honor to have Merle as a friend, I still miss him, but Betty is my life. God Bless,Rog

@MrRogermaynor So sorry to hear about your wifes heart attack. I hope she is improving. I have two nephews one 42 and one 34, brothers, who had heart attacks last year, within 6 weeks of one another - stressful times for the family. She is a busy lady working full time. Sis does get that break, so I'm happy for her, because she works non-stop almost during the busy tax season. That must have been quite an honor to be a friend of Merle Travis. You keep on picking and singing. Gwen

I really appreciate your kind words, Gwen. I am especially fond of this one because Merle Travis was a close friend and pickin' buddy from '77 to '83 when he passed on. Gwen, I should have been clearer, my wife works full time year round. She is an accountant with many clients and many Corporations. She has been on break since April 26th because she had another heart attack. The taxes just come with the job. Take care and God Bless...Ole Rog
