Chris Simcox, founder and head of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, talks to Senior Correspondent, Maria Hinojosa, about his views on illegal immigration. The Corps considers its mission to be "assisting Border Patrol in better defending" the border with Mexico.

He is using the same old George Wallace strategy of Race baiting. Most of the "minutemen" are usually Retired older people. They have nothing but time on their hands. @dolzinfo - The Problem ,again, is a bottleneck at the Dept, of Immigration. Which is run by the Republicans. Several of the people who run the Dept. put out hate filled articles in the local Media at regular intervals. They are de-railing the LAWFUL route to immigration. If this isn't an unlawful act they're commiting, than what is?

From what I have read in the comments below, there is a lot of hate and misinformation. To all those Americans who have a problem with Latinos, why you don't come up and SAY IT. The world is changing and the nation is changing, The Democrats get it, Republicans not yet because they live in the 1980's and are back to the 1800's immigrant bashing. Former Pres George W. Bush and Former Pres. Candidate John McCain try but the extreme right decided to ignore it and now they are suffering.

Liberals who support illegal immigrants are unknowingly siding with greedy U.S. corporations. Why? Because illegal immigration is about one thing --> more corporate profits via lower labor costs.

WHO WINS? Greedy companies AND illegal workers (earning FAR more than in Mexico).

WHO LOSES? The U.S. labor class (U.S. proletariat) via job losses to illegal workers & depressed wages.

Thus 120 years of U.S. wage struggles fought for since the Haymarket Rebellion of 1886 are being undermined.

Maria, do the math. If Mexicans and Central Americans together are only 8% of the world population and over 80% of illegal aliens are Mexican/Central American then isn't amnesty (what you call comprehensive reform) discriminate against billions of people of other ethnic groups that respect our laws in following our legal process of admission? It a citizenship path to illegals fair to law abiding foreigners who want to be part of our American family?

Maria, do the math. The Heritage Foundation reported to Congress on their research that each illiterate high school dropout cause a net cost of $1 million over their lifetime. It doesn't matter if they are citizens, immigrants or illegal aliens. Aren't millions of illegals illiterate peasants? How many billions is this costing the idiot taxpayers?

Maria, Do the math on costs. A family with two children must earn over $25000 per yr before paying any fed. or state income tax, yet each student costs the state annually bet. $18 and $22K.  Hello!

I think it's quite funny to call this guy a racist. He's against ILLEGAL immigration. Will someone tell me how this makes him a racist? Anybody? She made herself look ridiculous by not having a single question Simcox had trouble with. She makes a huge deal about Texas statistics and how much tax revenue "undocumented" immigrants are putting into the econcomy...five minutes before this she stated how there was no way of knowing whether these consumers are undocumented or not!
