Sorry to be repetitive, but this is the BEST living boogie on the Internet! I would venture to suggest that no one alive can play such musically satisfying hot piano as Rudy. Thank you again and again. I watch you play endlessly. And, although I agree about the way people appear casual about your playing, in a bizarre way that helps the barrelhouse atmosphere!

You know, Rudy, I really think you are one of the “greats" in this genre. Talented doesn't describe it. You are truly gifted: I feel, when I'm listening to your playing as I used to feel when I first heard Ammons, Lewis, Davenport,Pinetop Smith, Jimmy Blythe--a sense of musical excitement at being in the presence of a master.

Rudy, you are so talented. I don't like the fact that people are talking and milling around while you are playing. They should be totally focused on your wonderful performances!

This was just a warm up before the party ever started. A dear family friend was home on leave from the war in Iraq, (thus the reason for the party). The focus was on him, not me, just as it should have been. I love playing whether people listen or not. However, if you've watched the Down The Road A Piece & Chicago Breakdown Medley you can see said soldier in the chair on the left ... he appears to be listening :)
