The #1 song in the U.S. on Dec. 7, 1941 was Glenn Miller's recording of "Chattanooga Choo Choo". The song features the voices of Tex Beneke, Paula Kelly, and The Modernaires and was used as a production number in the 1941 film "Sun Valley Serenade" starring Sonja Henie, John Payne, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

  • I think this is from '41 as it has Tex and the Modernaires.

  • @Ulysses61 How can it be from overseas? This is the film soundtrack recording from 1941!

  • This is not nearly as good as the originally released version by the Miller band in '41. This is from '44 when he was overseas.
