I decided to switch things up a little bit today and do some acting. I used to be an actress, and sometimes I get reminded of how much I still love it. This is a monologue from the movie "When Harry Met Sally." I'm sorry it's a bit edited, but I just taught it to myself and I'm very hard on myself with my acting. I took many many takes. I'm super rusty... haven't taken classes in ages, but I felt strangely compelled to do this today. Hope you enjoy!

  • Bravo! to Broadway Carrie!

  • Give my regards to Broadway.... remember me to Herald Square.

  • My 30 year-old daughter was across the room eavesdropping while I watched this and she said "Oh! That's so sad!" She didn't realize you were acting at all! Bravo!!!

  • Oh what a compliment! Thanks for telling me that. :)

  • I would like to add that I'm trying to post a link to Bette Davis singing "Just turn me loose on Broadway" on The Andy Williams Show, but YouTube comments won't let me. GRR!

  • lol I'm kinda hammered, I forgot u were doing lines from a movie. Very convincing. I'm an idiot. Seacrest out.

  • Very natural and conversational. I took drama (though never in a play) in HS but I'd like to see how I did with some acting NOW - - like a million years later. (OK, 11 years later.) CarrieEmmy, a 21 year old hit on me the other day and it was a little hilarious but so cute. Ugh. I'm 29 and their faces...drop. Oh well, boys. Like a fine wine, like a fine wine. When I was walking out of the coffee place he worked at, he said, "But you look really great! Really." Oy vey..

  • great job, Carrie. I love that movie and I own it:)
