I just say Erik, and 95% of the time people know who I'm talking about. And if I have too I pronounce his last name Ak-der-i-shiik. The sh is a weird little slur if sound that is a mixture between a sh, a j, and a bit if a z.

And how the hell do you spell it? I've always thought it was Akkersdijk. I could be wrong through.
