Irish currach-builder Pádraig Ó Duinnín travels to Greenland to make a kayak with Inuits. The voice-over is in Irish language (Gaelic.)He feeds the huskies fish. These are no longer kept for hunting but for racing in the trans-Artic winter races. This was filmed in September 2001 - the dogs were not comfortable in the heat and their driver was waiting eagerly for the snows to come.
Some images of icebegs and huskies and prefabricated homes built on the permaforst.
Filmed by Traolach Ó Buachalla.
