doesn't the star san ruin the taste. I don't know what kind of chemicals are in it but it just doesn't seem safe to me. Can you please explain why? I notice a lot of videos practice the same methods. It just doesn't make sense to me. Is this safe?

You don't have to refrigerate it right away but the longer and warmer it sits, the faster it starts to oxidize.
Keep it out. Just make sure you purge the oxygen off the top of the keg.

Great video series! Thanks for doing it. I am new to all grain and would love to try this recipe. Can you post it?
Thanks!

@ruggend thanks for watching. This recipe is actually in a Brew Your Own 150 clone recipe issue that came out in 2008 (I believe). It's the Mack and Jack's African Amber clone. Really tasty beer.

So, I noticed you didnt use priming sugars. Why is that?

@anotheremerex because I'm force carbonating with pressure from a CO2 tank. Using priming sugars is certainly a viable way to do it. You'd jsut end up with needless trub from the carbonation process. Force carbonating allows for a potentially cleaner finished product.
