On why Queer people don't need to offer excuses, explanations or reasons for their sexuality, identity, or themselves. People shouldn't have to apologise for who they are.

Feel free to comment, discuss, subscribe, favourite and share with anyone that you think should see it.

Ps, it's 2012, and I'm back (possibly gayer than ever).

You can find me more often on other places:

tweet @inspiritgolden
http://madnessfillsmyheartandsoul.tumblr.com/ (literally on here every day and I post a lot of queer stuff)
http://flickr.com/linziclark/ (less queer, but it's a new flickr, I'm uploading photos regularly and I'd really appreciate your help/feedback)

I'm also on facebook as Ten Things Queer somewhere as well I believe.

SEE YOU SOON! - linzi x

  • i cant understand what ur saying but i LOVE ur accent

  • @justine0097 hahaha, I do apologise, and thanks ;)

  • I totally agree with what your saying, even though I have been guilty of making excuses in the past. However, I am wondering if being queer will ever be considered equal to being straight. I think it would be lovely if we never have to come out because people never assumed we not queer in the first place, but do you think there is any chance of this ever happening? I personally live in Britain where I don't think discrimination against queers is terribly bad, considered with other countries li

  • @TheLittlePlagueRat I think that it will come. Not necessarily any time soon. I think soon, within the next 10 years gay marriage will probably be legal almost everywhere (parts of africa and asia maybe being an exception there). And the same with adoption. So I think soon, we'll have all the rights that we should have (okay 10-15 years maybe). But I still think the oppression and discrimination will continue, but not forever.

  • @TheLittlePlagueRat If you take the civil rights movement for example, and I know that it's not the same, race and sexuality are very different, but they're similar movements. I know we still have racism, but nothing like what it was 50 years ago. Governments and schools are trying to combat it. My generation are a lot less racist than our parent generation. Our kids will be less, their kids less etc.

  • @TheLittlePlagueRat So I think it's the same with homophobia...I think it'll eventually come, it might just take a generation or two. But I do think that one day, one day...it won't be an issue, and that's not just wishful thinking. I think a lot will change, improve and move forward in my lifetime. I think I'll see a lot of things regarding the LGBT community that I'd never have thought would have happened. Everyday somewhere someone's opinion changes for the better. We're getting there :-)
