Footloose the Musical: Holding Out for a Hero

Horizon High School's production of "Footloose: The Musical" on Friday, March 23, 2007.

We had some sound problems so there is some feedback and it sounds gross. Plus some mics were not turned on or balanced from the board, so you can only hear certain parts of the harmony which doesn't really sound that great either, I admit. Other than that, I loved this musical and I think we put on a great production. Feel free to criticize and leave feedback but please be respectful.

P.S.
I had this on DVD, so I downloaded a free trial of a DVD Ripper so I could get it onto my computer, hence the watermark "Evaluation Copy." So hopefully that doesn't take away from the experience.

Um I watched Kelsey, and I think she was great. Your 'Almost Paradise' was good also...

Can you at least say what was wrong with it before you go on and base what 'real talent' is from your own opinion? Seriously what was so wrong with it?

That was really well done. Great Job! I loved it when Betty came out. I never thought of her being an Asian women. Very creative. Good thinking.

Yeah, I don't think anybody expected Betty to be Asian, but Megan (who plays Betty) made it her own character which our director always encourages to do. But honestly, I can't picture Betty as anything but Asian now that it's been done like this. I didn't realize it fit so perfectly!

Oh and the whole Asian thing is kind of an inside joke in our theatre program.

My high school is doing this right now! I'm playing the part of Ariel as well =D

This was good, your school's Ariel has a great voice. And I actually liked the whole "The Supremes" feel of the song. The only things I could point out are:

1) the sound problem, obviously. Can't exactly be helped tho.

2) The whole stage in general seems kinda.... empty. That stage has a lot of room, which could have been well-utilized.

K im done now... PS Betty Blast = AWESOME!!!!
