Diablo 3 Targeting Video Multiple Targets

I understand what this guy is trying to say, but man does he suck at explaining it.

I think he's right and that it needs a slider in the options screen or something. - Imagine yourself playing on Inferno with these skeletons and some tanky monster. Now let's say the skeletons deal a shitload of damage, move faster, but still die from one hit of a grenade. Then it would be pretty important to land that grenade toss accurate so you can kill as many skeletons at once, so you can then safely focus on the tanky monster.

instead of thinking WHILE making the video, think first THEN make the video, THEN do the voiceover please

hes trying to explain how the hit boxes being generous hinders tactical play.

Great point man, this could be ruin the game for many people.

Using an AoE with travel time against moving targets and being surprised that you didn't hit the target you wanted but others walked into the blast. I am speechless
-
@Taratang It's going to be a problem on later difficulties, and with abilities that cost resource you're going to want to get the most out of each cast.

I can't believe this video takes 5 whole minutes just to moan about enemy target boxes being generous.
Oh noes, I can't target that exact pixel of open ground! Oh wait I just remembered I was allowed to attack more than once and everything died anyway.

Hey RG I agree the targeting seems a little extreme. I don't have beta so all I can compare on is D2 and sometimes that targeting can become a little annoying that might be due too poor graphics and if lag is involved its sometimes impossible to single target mobs. Tell me your thoughts on that and if D3 because of the graphics make it already extremely easy to target and that this targeting system is making it overkill easy

@yasuchika With Grenades it's not that big a problem as you're saying, but it is with spells like Meteor and Wave of Light. You can't afford to miss with spells like those.

@youmeeln lol :)
What about useing the skille (granade or whatever) from the numberkey, I have see someone on a forum saying there is a difference to not useing the mouse button.

@ionkinetic I tried with using the number keys, it yielded the same result... So no, there is no difference.
The only difference in using the number keys is that it is as if you are holding shift and attack at the same time...

Can you hold shift and cast to the center that ignores the sticky targets? can you try this out ?

@JJBryan1985 Shift-click only holds position, the targeting system will still be the same while shift-clicking. Anytime the box mesh is overlapping on an enemy unit, therefore highlighting it at targeting it, the skill shot will attack the center of that targeted unit that the mesh is overlapping.
