In 2007 I took an amazing road trip on my 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate with some friends down to the Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Dragon's Tail. On the return leg of the trip, going about 70+MPH on I-81 I heard a shrill chirp come out of the rear end - I knew instantly that one of the rear wheel bearings had started to fail. I was able to get off the road before it deteriorated too badly [feels like riding a bike with a flat rear tire]. Unable to get it serviced locally, the only option was to rent a truck and haul it home. A disappointing ending to what was still a phenomenal trip...
Love that bike. I have a 2000 interstate.
Where did you get that rear spoiler? Is that a spoiler from a Gold Wing or? I never thought about putting one on the bike, but I think it is a good idea.
By the way, fenderspring... the Valkyrie Interstate is an American bike, just like the Harley, it's not a "jap" bike. Just look at the VIN #, it starts with the #1 which indicates MADE in USA.

Nice bike, too bad you have to hate on Harleys because they are nice as well. My pop has an original 1962 Harley with over 70,000 miles. Still going strong. Bad rumors started long ago still being perpetuated by jap riders. Makes everyone look bad. Harleys get a bad rap and jap guys look jealous. Not cool. Nice bike anyway hope you got it repaired.
