Deus Ex (2000) was widely praised for its melodious and ambient music which incorporates a number of genres, such as classical, jazz, and techno.

The soundtrack of Deus Ex was extolled by critics for aptly complementing the gritty and haunting atmosphere predominant throughout the game.

All listed tracks were composed by Alexander Brandon, Dan Gardopee, Michiel van den Bos and Reeves Gabrels. A compact disc of the Deus Ex soundtrack was only included in the "Game of the Year" edition and is not available for separate purchase, but all tracks are readily available on the internet. Originally only thirty tracks were included with the re-release, with tracks thirty-one through forty-one considered as extras.

During play, the music will change to a different iteration of the current song based on the player's actions. For instance, this usually occurs when the player starts a conversation, engages in combat, or transitions to the next level.

And to leave something that humans wouldn't destroy.

  • this song will play when youtube (and soon, the whole internet ["the net's going black JC!"]) goes down after SOPA passes

"JC! JC! the net's going, the nets going black! JC! No more youtube, no more facebooks of any kind, we will start over, use command lines, if you get this then FIND US! FIND US!"

  • 2 people Are Agent Navarre and Gunther

  • lol, sopa

  • @Turnips5 I think the Illuminati ending is the worst for Humanity in the long run. in the end JC and morgan will get just as corrupt as Walton & Bob. This ending only stops the whole ''secret-soceity controll thingy'' for a bit. I Think Helios ending is the best overall for Humanity. Just my opinion though. ^^

  • I didn't trust an Illuminati a-hole to run a planet, and I didn't trust a computer to run a planet... I am not a very trusting person am I?

  • "Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth."

  • @Turnips5 I think the worst ending for humanity is the Illuminati one, since it just makes JC into a massive hypocrite when he would allow Everett to take power over Page. The only way that can be good for humanity is if Everett has good intentions, however JC can avoid this gamble by taking over himself through the Helios ending.

Personally the Tong ending is my favourite, probably because of the "governments on a level which people can comprehend" line...

  • This is the worst ending for humanity, but it has the greatest emotional depth and the best music.
